Are EM4200 and MIFARE interchangeable?

No. The EM4200 version operates here at 125 kHz, while MIFARE 1K and 4K versions use 13.56 MHz. Choose the technology expected by your reader and software.

Can it replace an existing key fob?

A new key fob generally needs to be enrolled by your system administrator. Buying one does not automatically copy an existing fob or transfer its access permissions.

Is the credential ready to use on arrival?

It must be enrolled in your compatible system and assigned the appropriate user permissions. Buying the credential does not include configuring your installation.
